Research Activities of the Sustainability Science Program
Drawing on the research strengths of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the practice-oriented traditions of Harvard's professional schools the Sustainability Science Program is promoting research on what works, under what conditions, for better linking knowledge with action in support of sustainable development. Over the long run, research in this area will seek to include evaluations of the efficacy of alternative policies and institutions, historical analysis to identify best practices, and systematic learning from comparisons of experience across sectors and places.
